The Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center, in partnership with the Introduced Fish Section (IFS), awards travel funds ($500) to support student travel to the American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting in Portland Oregon in August 2015. This special award will be given to a student whose work advances our understanding of the basic biology or ecology of invasive fish within the Upper Mississippi River Basin in order to control them. Student receiving funds must be a member of the Introduced Fish Section, give an oral or poster presentation at the national AFS meeting in Portland, and attend the IFS Business Meeting. Winners of the award will be selected and notified prior to the meeting. The Selection Committee will review the application. Please be concise with your answers.

 

Completed application form (below) plus a brief Curriculum Vitae (max. 3 pages) must be returned by email no later than August 10, 2015 to the Chair of the Selection Committee:
